Upgrading to Firefox 1.5 Beta 1

Its time to upgrade! I've been using Firefox 1.0.x since forever.

My Steps:
  • Backup profile
  • Modify %APPDATA%/mozilla/firefox/profiles.ini to point to a new default profile (empty folder)
  • Install Firefox 1.5 Beta 1, run it once
  • Exit Firefox, the new profile is now populated
  • Copy over the following files from old profile to new
    • bookmarks.html
    • cert8.db, secmod.db, key3.db, signons.txt
    • cookies.txt, hostperm.1
    • mimetypes.rdf
    • user.js, prefs.js
  • Download fixed adblock
  • Open Firefox, drag and drop the xpi

No problems so far.
