Slashdotted?

Looks like I was atleast pseduo-slashdotted in october.

Referrer list:

-http://gemal.dk/mozilla/blogupdates.html 1135641

- http://slashdot.org/article.pl 75 75

Now, how do I find the slashdot link to weblog.wlkr.net ?

Comments

Obviously you were linked from a comment, and not a highly scored one because most people had to click on a comment link before seeing your link.

Do you not have the full referers, with the parameters? Most web servers will log them, but analysis programs tend to group things together (and then do a separate report for search terms used in search engines).

What you can do is to go to your raw Apache logs and do a grep for the /. URL.

And yeah Michaell is right. But it's still amazing huh, that even a lowly scored comment directs that much traffic.

:( Too late.. I have to configure my webserver to keep last months' raw logs.. its already gotten rid of october raw logs.

Google "site:slashdot.org wlkr.net" I got that after a few variations on the site name and your handle.

October 5 do the trick?

Very cool. Thanks Joe
