Revert my homepage?

Why does firefox want to do that?

There's this new checkbox that asks if I want to revert my homepage.
First, the checkbox is checked by default.
Secondly, why would any upgrader want firefox to revert their homepage. And for new users, why would they care?

I don't think the installer knows whether you are upgrading or installing fresh (i.e., I don't think the installer knows if a profile exists).

A new installation would have the option to either import a home page from another browser, or use the default Firefox Start page.
