Google loves firefox
Blogger Browser Matrix
Usage Breakdown:
* 71% of our users use IE6/Windows; clearly the majority yet a lower percentage than the web in general.
* 6% use Mozilla Firefox; an up-and-comer, which we all use internally.
* 3% use Safari; also widely used internally.
* 2% use AOL
AOL users, as well as those unaccounted for here (Netscape, Opera, etc.), would be wise to use Mozilla Firefox in order to have the best possible experience using Blogger.
System requirements for gmail
# Microsoft IE 5.5 and newer (Windows)
# Netscape 7.1 and newer (Windows, Macintosh, Linux)
# Mozilla 1.4 and newer (Windows, Macintosh, Linux)
# Mozilla Firefox 0.8 and newer (Windows, Macintosh, Linux)
# Safari 1.2.1 and newer (Macintosh)

Blogger is not Google.
Google does not love Firefox, they even don't recognize it in their Browser tips. Google advertises much for its toolbar which requires MSIE. Google doesn't offically support all the google extensions of other browsers.
In the explanation of the google toolbar they mention Safari, no words about Mozilla or Opera.
That's the reason why I hope, that Google will be sooner or later doomed by Microsoft:
They encourage their users to stick with Microsoft, they do not encourage people to use other software, or even offer their products for other software than Microsoft's.
Conclusion: Google does not love Firefox.

Does anyone know if you can get at Google's Browse by Name feature outside the Google Toolbar for IE

It's like an intelligent I'm Feeling Lucky search for the address bar, would be great in Firefox.

@ torner cohen
Oh yes, Google knows about Mozilla, but not Firefox:
"Google does not officially support these Mozilla settings, but we thought we'd put them up for the adventurous among you!"
According to "Google" using Mozilla is an adventure?
And they haven't changed their document for years. They still write Netscape 6, although Netscape 7 was released more than two years ago.

Yeah, I have the google toolbar I just wondered if there was a URL I could point at for this specific and I think proprietary feature.

You really need to change your topic heading. I came here from blogupdates thinking "cool google.com has something good to say about Firefox" and then I find some like to blooger.com. WTH? Again like #1 stated Blogger.com is Not Google.com. While I don't think Google hates *zilla they certainly don't support it or advocate for it.
