Blank Last Tab

On February 24, 2004, I posted a rant about one major annoyance of firefox - Closing the last open tab hides the tab bar. My nomination for the most insane bug fix, ever. still holds.

Aren't extensions great! Today I found one that fixes this unintelligible behavior. Download BlankLast here

While I'm talking of extensions, I'm glad Adblock would soon reclaim its position in the most popular extensions. It was #1 before it was removed and added back.

Comments

There's a setting in Firefox for this already. Preferences, Advanced, Browsing, "Hide the tab bar when only one site is open."

noodge: I know that setting. What happens when you try to close the one tab that is open?
