Gmail giveaway

Google wants me to invite some more friends to gmail.

Rather than invite non-techies who use email once a week, I'm more inclined to invite mozilla lovers.

If you want an invite, drop a comment indicating your current mozilla activity, and make the url link back to your homepage or your mozillazine user profile.

My order of priority would be
- someone willing to patch bug 223636 or bug 220022 ;-)
- people I know
- mozilla hackers
- mozillazine members (atleast since 2003)

If you found this page by searching for 'gmail invite', and are not related to mozilla, don't bother commenting.

I would love to get a G-mail invitation. I am a firefox user (0.8 build, waiting for .9!!!); although not a developer of FF.

I just posted a comment few minutes back, saying I would like to get the g-mail. Just wanted to inform that I am also a member of FF forum (don't know if thats mozillazine membership), its [ guest123 ].

Mozilla QA volunteer just over a year now; hot and cold activity depending on level of school work (meteorology major).

Mozilla QA volunteer filing bug reports, testing, creating testcases since 2000, especially focused on crasher bug reports.
Mozillazine member since Nov'02, I'd use Gmail search capabilities to store all my bugmail and search within this folder to find a particular bug quicker (could be very useful with full-text search for stacktraces).

Hiya

I would love an invite please :-) I used to build firefox but I don't have the time anymore :-(

Although I have been a mozillaline member since early 04, just missed it lol

Dan

PS: No New Theme, Qute Forever

Hi,
I have been using Mozilla since 0.92 and Firefox since 0.1, but all I ever did was comment and tests on some bugs. Not very helpful I'm afraid.
I'm building Firefox for myself from time to time and hey - I have at least converted 7 people to mozilla and standards coding.
Yeah, and I'm a member on the forum right from the beginning. (belbo)

I've been using Mozilla (Seamonkey) since, hmmm, Milestone 5 or something. :-) Don't remember exactly, but sometime in 1999 anyway.

I switched to Phoenix 0.2 when it was released and have loved the browser ever since. ;-)

I'm afraid I don't contribute directly code-wise ( although I _am_ a software developer, work is wearing me out enough :-( ). I do frequent the MozillaZine forums though.

Oh, and I have Asa Dotzler as mutual friend on Slashdot. Haha :-)

Sorry, I didn't link back to my MozillaZine profile as you asked us to. Fixed now.

Hiya. I'd be very keen to try out gmail.

I've been using Mozilla for a couple of years now in development. We use it as a development platform for my company's automated translation system (think babelfish. If you read Japanese then http://bb.transer.com/ )

I'm currently working on and have closed a number of bugs all over the place (NSPR, XPCOM, Mailnews, etc). See the link (http://moz.jellycan.com/) for most of the ones I've worked on. Mostly I browse bugzilla and fix anything I find that I can do during work time and takes my fancy.

Firefox developer (yeah yeah, absent for a bit, but I'll be back this summer :-)

Thanks!

I'm a firefox user since phoenix 0.4. Visits Mozillazine at least 4 times a day. Used to test nightlies everyday and even built my own firefox before. I wrote an extension Show Image to complement the 'show picture' function in internet explorer. Althought I never speak out much in Mozillazine forums I'm definitely an avid follower.

By the way I'm a user of thunderbird too.

The first time I used browser related to mozilla is netscape 6. I started to use mozilla suite when it was 0.9.4. I changed to firebird (now firefox) and thunderbird last year. I had submitted bug reports a few times mainly for i18 issue. Although I visited mozillazine regularly, I did not register as a member until a few days ago.

Thanks for your kind free gift to mozilla community.

Hi

I've been active on the forums since Feb 2003, helping people out, testing new extensions etc. I also wrote the Ad blocking css file on Firefox Help (although I believe you use the adblock extension - whatever works for you) and contributed a number of other tips to the site (inc. XP style menus).

Cheers,

Neil

I always used Netscape since 1.1 (in 1996), used Netscape 4 for a lot of time, tried and was scared by the awful Netscape 6, used Netscape 6.01 and then moved to Mozilla... used Mozilla from 0.9.1 to Mozilla 1.4 I think... moved to Phoenix 0.3, used Firebird and I am now using Firefox :-)
Not a developer but always a user of Netscape and Mozilla, I would be very happy to be able to try Gmail!!! :-)

Hello,

Thanks for offering youre invites to mozilla users. I've been using mozilla for a few years, firefox since the first builds. I joined the forums in Jan 2003, i had an account there before then but dont remember when.

I've made a few test cases, have dont some work confirming bugs, been using the nightlies untill 0.9 banch now im following Peter's daily threads trying to verify fixes, other peoples problems. I've done some tweaking with the old rss reader extension, but thats been replaced by sage.

I could really use a g-mail account because I was getting to much bugmail at my school acount which im trying to keep school/friends related. With a gmail acount i'ld have a great place to store lots and lots of bugmail i get.

Infamous and prolific extension writer.

Would give me something else to get spammed into oblivion.

Well, I am developer of this extension:
http://downloadwith.mozdev.com/

By the way, I can fix one or both of those bugs for you.

Time out. Sending Invites.
